On Saturday, October 9th 2010, a unique event took place at The Pillar Room in Dublin’s Rotunda Hospital – the Story Teller Summit. The event, organised by the International Charity Bazaar Committee, was attended by representatives from various Embassies and the general public.
Niall de Búrca from Ireland, Vigga Bro from Denmark and Folke Tegethoff from Austria, joined by a family of Irish folk musicians, provided amazing entertainment. Folke Tegetthoff introduced us to the art of storytelling, Niall de Búrca had us in stitches with his stories of God’s gifts to various nations and Vigga Bro explained why Love is Blind and walks hand in hand with Madness.
In the interval, guests were served wine and refreshments donated by Richmond Marketing Distributors.
The storyteller evening was a great success as it created a greater awareness of the Bazaar and helped to raise some more funds for charity. Quite a few Raffle tickets were also sold on the day.
